Record Folder System for Students


The ACT Department of Education and Training operates a Pupil Record Folder System which is obligatory for all public schools. Under this system a cumulative record is maintained from the time a pupil enrols in kindergarten until the completion of his/her ACT public schools career. This record may also contain some extracts from a short factual report compiled while the child is enrolled at an ACT preschool. Further information on the Student Record Folder system may be obtained by contacting the School Principal, Deputy Principal or the School Counsellor.

Reporting Student Progress


Parents are to receive a written report twice per year, grading the student A (outstanding achievement) to E (very limited achievement). These reports are a national requirement. Interviews with parents throughout the year will be set up as needed.These may occur at the request of the teacher or the parent to discuss a student’s achievement, behaviour management or other area of concern.

Responsibilities of Students, Parents and Staff


The major goal of our responsibilities guidelines is that Fadden students, parents and school staff co-operate in providing a school environment and climate which assures the attainment of all others goals and objectives of an effective school. This includes the learning of basic skills in the academic realm plus the social skills appropriate to successive stages of emotional development.
